    DRNet OPEN for Hybrid IT
Richard Buckle, CEO Pyalla Technology, LLC (on behalf of Network Technologies)

With DRNet, NTI is delivering the solutions NonStop users are demanding when it comes to data replication and data integration; replication extends the continuous availability attributes of NonStop beyond a single system / data center while integration ensures data captured by transaction processing on NonStop can participate in all-important BI and Analytics processes.
DRNet is complemented by DRNet/OPEN, an implementation that targets open platforms including Linux / Unix / Windows; today’s data centers are developing comprehensive mixed platform data sharing topologies and NonStop customers can now replicate to and integrate with any mix of Oracle, MS SQL-Server, MYSQL, IBM DB2, Sybase - any JDBC compliant implementation running on supported open platforms.
HPE is promoting hybrid IT and NTI is ideally placed to support better participation of NonStop within hybrid IT with the lowest TCO along with best ROI; in a hybrid world learn how a single purchase of DRNet on NonStop you can push data to open platforms without any need for additional licenses – one license for both source capture and target delivery.

The presentation covers SOLV loading database tables where records are missing on your DR box - without the need for stopping replication or closing down your application(s). It will also take you through the Compare tool and how it can be used currently for comparing records in a SQL table and how future versions will even let you put missing records into an output file that can later be used for loading the missing records into your DR system.

    Command and Control System
    Péter Boros (Technical Director),Quattrosoft

The modern command and control system acts like a trusted information center integrating the data from many sources. The view of the data may vary but the real time information must be shown to help the decision makers and the stuff. In the meantime, under the hood there must be a technology with high available software and hardware infrastructure. The critical functionality:

  • map-, calendar- and dashboard-based views for representing the integrated information
  • integrated workflow and documentation management
  • unit management to provide an up-to-date list about the available forces
  • integration adapters for different technologies
  • mobile client and gateway to participate in workflow activities
  • hybrid theory: the critical part of the application can run a NonStop. The rest can be placed on any other platform

The investment of a system like this is high and the requirements are constantly changing by the new technologies (just think about the Drones) and management protocols. To ensure the adaptivity of the system the underlying technology itself can be part of the delivery. Using this technology, you can update the system on your own or you can create new systems by specific domain requirements. (Some examples will be mentioned)
